Entry process and rules in 2008
ENTRY PROCESS
Who Can Enter
Entry is for full members of the Federation (unless otherwise specified - see individual awards criteria on previous pages). Entrants are not required to have signed up for iN business for neighbourhoods. Entry is online only with the exception of the new 'What We Are Proud of' category.
How To Enter
Stages of Entry: Please note this section carefully, it may affect the way you manage your entry.
Stage One
Registration: You must login to the Neighbourhood Awards website - this is the person to whom confirmation of entry will be sent and the contact for all further correspondence.
Submitting Entries: Entries are made up of your answers to a set of questions plus any supplementary information. Entries are uploaded onto the awards website via the Entrants area. When submissions are uploaded you will also be required to answer the questions listed under each of the awards criteria. Each entry shall be split into the criteria questions and a summary of your entry. Responses to each question should be no more than 250 words (more words will not be accepted). The title you give your entry and the name of your organisation here will determine how your entry is named in all promotional material including the website. If you are entering the Partnership Award, please obtain agreement to use your partner(s) name in the title of your entry.
Supplementary Information
Entries should include supplementary material which describes and supports the project or person being entered. This will enable you to expand on the success of the project. Up to three supplementary files may be uploaded. Powerpoint, Excel, Word, html, JPEG, EPS or TIFF may be used.
Please bear in mind that the awards are judged by tenants, often on their PCs. When attaching supplementary material, please ensure file names are descriptive rather than numerical. There can be no dashes, colons or apostrophes in the file name. Please format the document to include paragraph breaks.
When entries are uploaded you should receive a confirmation email. After submitting the entry form (including any attached files), the user will see a confirmation screen at this point. You can then choose to 'confirm' your entry. Do not assume your entry has been uploaded unless you receive the email.
Number of Entries
Each organisation may enter up to six award categories, but is limited to one entry per Award.
Please note:
- if providing photos please supply in JPEG, EPS or TIFF format and provide captions for photos. The total file size limit for supplementary information is 3 MB per entry. Anything above this size will not be accepted on the website. If the file is more than 8MB the server will not give an error message.
- uploading large files may take at least 5 minutes to upload depending on the speed of your internet connection so please be patient.
